The CA Community College Chancellor’s Office publishes the Program Approval Handbook to facilitate the submission and approval of Certificate Achievement Programs of 12 Units or more and all Associate Degree Programs.
Colleges are required to utilize appropriate TOP codes for all programs offered. Programs are coded according to the Taxonomy of Programs Inventory. A detailed explanation is included here.
