The Career Technical Education (CTE) Symposium 2023 is back in-person!
On March 8, 2023: This CTE Symposium is a time to convene the CTE community to support shared best practices, dissemination of timely information, and ongoing resource development and distribution. This symposium focuses on enhancing the outcomes of California’s students by building the capacity to improve student performance in state-priority CTE areas continuously.
This professional development symposium will include Key Note Speakers:
– March 8, 2023 Keynote Speaker, Dr. Kevin Fleming
On March 9, 2023: School Counselors are the most influential individuals on campus, especially regarding guidance and career building. This symposium focuses on providing services that will help Counselors guide and lead their students and families.
We invite you to explore the aspects of high-quality CTE pathways/programs in Los Angeles County and tour the Los Angeles Trade Technical College.
Participants Will:
- Learn strategies to improve access to on-demand career trades and enhance the quality of existing CTE pathways/programs.
- Identify compelling economic market data for CTE pathways/programs to inform program decisions that meet workforce needs.
- Focus on accelerating innovative CTE learning opportunities leading to increased student engagement and interest.
- Experience a facility tour to understand the students’ experience at Los Angeles Trade Technical College.
